Today, CODESYS GmbH from Kempten has released its new product CODESYS Virtual Safe Control SL. This virtual safety controller can run safety-critical applications up to SIL3 (according to IEC 61508) on standard x86 hardware, which are developed with the CODESYS development environment. Two-channel hardware is not necessary. The CODESYS Virtual Safe Control SL has been certified by TÜV Süd.

For the development of its virtual controller, the CODESYS development team relies on the SIListra Safety Transformer. Only our Coded Processing, which the SIListra Safety Transformer automatically integrates into the CODESYS source code, has made the hardware independence of the virtual controller possible.

The CODESYS Virtual Safe Control SL is a good example of the innovations, which are possible with the help of SIListra Systems and the SIListra Safety Transformer.
